Symposium Venue and Transportation

   VIII Internarional Symposium «Radiation from Relativistic Electrons in Periodic Structures» will be held at the holiday centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), in the town of Zvenigorod, near Moscow, Russia. The Holiday Centre is situated on the outskirts of Zvenigorod, in a quiet, rural area that is renowned for its beautiful countryside. Nearby, the Moskva-river meanders through picturesque woods. Zvenigorod is a cosy little town nowadays, but it used to be an important mediaeval centre. It still has its own Kremlin and a few impressive old churches, some dating back to the 13^th-14^th century.

   There are road and rail links from Moscow to Zvenigorod (the journey takes about an hour). One can reach Zvenigorod by rail from station Moskva-Smolenskaya of Belorussky Rail Terminal (underground station Belorusskaya) and by local bus #48 from "Zvenigorod" railway station to holiday centre or by coach #452. The coach station is situated near the underground station Kuntsevskaya (see the maps and time-tables of trains & buses below).
